What is the Eligibility for NCHMCT Examinations?
To be eligible for the NCHMCT JEE, candidates must have passed the 10+2 Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent from a recognized educational board, with English as one of the subjects. English must have been studied as a core, elective, or functional subject in the qualifying examination.
Candidates who are appearing for the 10+2 or equivalent examination in the year of the NCHMCT JEE are also eligible to apply on a provisional basis. However, their admission will be considered provisional until they provide proof of having passed the qualifying examination. This proof must be submitted at the time of counselling, admission, or by the latest deadline of 30th September, failing which the provisional admission will be cancelled.
Admission is subject to the verification of original documents at the time of admission, including academic certificates, category certificates (if applicable), and PwD certificates (if applicable). If, at any point after admission, a candidate is found ineligible due to the submission of invalid, forged, or missing documents, including proof of passing the 10+2 or equivalent examination or fulfilling the age or category criteria, their admission will be cancelled with immediate effect.

When are the NCHMCT JEE Exams Conducted?
The NCHMCT JEE examination for admission to top hotel management institutes like IHM Pusa, IHM Mumbai, and others is typically conducted after the Class 12 CBSE board exams, around the last week of April. The exam is generally held on a Sunday and is conducted in an online (computer-based) mode. For instance, in 2025, the NCHMCT JEE is scheduled for April 27, falling perfectly in line with the post-board exam timeline.
