IRMA Interview Experience

2020 IRMA

My IRMA interview experience.

We arranged in multipurpose hall at 8am. There was session at 9 and group announced.

I had irmasat at first, test was mixed with easy and tough questions. Dates and specific names were asked.

Then 2 GA, one prioritising and another one taking decision on a case. We need to discuss and come to a conclusion.

PI
Indirectly why Irma ? Den it’s purely depends on your native places, political status of state and your stands on the Same. Your hobbies.

Overall it was good experience here at irma

2020 IRMA

It was more like a conversation based question. It’s all about how you take the interview. I have a sound sports background so they asked questions from that and since I’m from tamil nadu they asked about the political scenario and what I would do to develop the state something like that

2021 IRMA

GE
1)We were given some points related to success and asked to prioritise them.
2)A case study was given regarding the choice of the right candidate for a club membership. The description of 5 candidates was given and we had to choose the right candidate.

It was very good and calm… no fishmarket scenes.

2020 IRMA

For PI, there are some pressure panels. So be strong in whatever you are speaking. Interview panels might have economists, editors etc. So questions from cultural background of your state, co operative societies, your take on several local and national issues are asked.

2020 IRMA

Finished with the interview process. The interview was so chilled out, especially the GA part, it was more like an informal session👌🏻
I was never asked why IRMA, why PGDRM, what will you do after PGDRM any sort of that questions. It was purely a conversation based personal interview. The campus is really pleasant and green all over.

2020 IRMA

GD : Moderators will read out the do’s and don’ts , follow that and you should be good.
One will be a prioritizing one and other will be decision making. Everyone will get a chance to speak. It will go on for about 2 hours.

PI : Work experience, why MBA why IRMA(with a lot of follow up questions), hometown, hobbies.
Depends on the panel you get, few are chilled out and few are not.

2019 IRMA

Hi guys, I had my interview at IRMA today. The whole process was a very pleasant experience.

The following was the sequence of events.
1. We were taken to a hall where an alum and a professor briefed us on IRMA and the entire process for the day.

2. We were divided into 5 groups of 10-12 folks.
The first three groups were taken for their GA /GE and groups 4 and 5 had their IRMASAT.

I was in group 2.
GA
—–
9 points about “Qualities of a good leader” were given.
We were given 5 minutes to think and prioritize the points(individually). After that we were asked to discuss for 20 mins and reach a consensus for the priority as a group.
( The panel specifically mentioned that the discussion cannot turn into a fish market).

GE
——
A case about a psychology research institute was given where in they wanted to allot a new pc to one person in a team of 5.
Description about each of the 5 members were given. ( Their nature of work, experience, the quality of their current pc, work load and general attitude)

We were given 15 mins to go through the case. And each of us got 2 mins to talk about “who should get the PC and why”
That was followed by a 10 mins discussion to reach consensus as a group.

3. After the GA and GE , we got a break for half an hour.
Then, we were asked to move to the computer lab for IRMASAT.
