Eligibility for SIIB Pune MBA Agri Business Admission 2026

Degree: Bachelor's in any discipline from a recognised university.
Marks: Minimum 50% aggregate; relaxed to 45% for SC/ST candidates.
Entrance test: A valid SNAP score (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is required — the only accepted exam.
Final-year students: Eligible to apply, subject to meeting the minimum marks on completion.
International students: Must obtain an AIU equivalence certificate.

Fees

The MBA (Agri Business) fee is around ₹16.8 lakh for the two-year programme. Confirm the current figure and hostel charges from the official prospectus.

SIIB Pune MBA Agri Business Selection Criteria 2026

SIIB Pune MBA Agri Business admission is SNAP-based and runs on these stages:

Stage 1 — SNAP shortlisting: A valid SNAP percentile is the entry filter; candidates register for SNAP and apply to SIIB separately using the SNAP ID.
Stage 2 — Group Exercise (GE) & Written Ability Test (WAT): Assesses reasoning, teamwork and communication.
Stage 3 — Personal Interview (PI): Final assessment of fit, profile and aptitude for agribusiness.

How the final merit is weighted

Final selection broadly combines the SNAP score (around 50%), GE-PI-WAT (around 30%) and profile — academics and work experience (around 20%). The whole selection process is conducted only at Pune. There is no management quota.

Agri Business graduates are placed across agri consulting, agri-inputs, agri value-chain management, commodity trading & risk management, rural banking & insurance, food & beverage, agri-tech, sustainable agriculture, e-commerce and digital agri platforms, and food processing & value addition — reflecting the sector's shift toward innovation, sustainability and digitisation.

The Programme

A two-year, full-time MBA in Agri Business blending core management — financial management, marketing, organisational behaviour, HR, supply chain — with agri-specific courses such as rural marketing, agriculture finance, microfinance, agri commodity markets, agri supply chain, agri input marketing, cold chain management, agri retail and export-potential analysis of agri commodities.

SIIB's international-business heritage gives the programme a distinctive global-trade lens, with regular industry sessions, live projects and a summer internship. The institute is NBA-accredited and AIU-recognised, with an intake of around 60 seats for the Agri Business specialisation.

Is SIIB Agri Business Right for You?

SIIB suits candidates who want an agribusiness MBA with a strong international-trade and global-markets orientation, backed by the Symbiosis brand and a well-established placement network. The top-quartile packages are attractive and the sector exposure is broad. If you want a purely generalist MBA, a general B-school may fit better; if agri consulting, commodity trading, agri-finance or global agri-markets is your goal, SIIB is a strong option. Note that admission is competitive, needing a high SNAP percentile.

As someone who was entirely new to this entire process, I was fortunate to have had such wonderful mentors at Gradsquare who guided me through each and every step of the way. Mentors at Gradsquare helped me identify my weaknesses and helped me find my own strategy that was best suited for my strengths. What stood out for me was Gradsquare's approach which was different from the conventional approach of other coaching centres of using long hours to conduct classes, which in my opinion really doesn't help much, however they never hesitated to take long hours to clear our doubts which according to me was the key instrument in helping me succeed. As someone who was not confident of cracking CAT and getting an admit from a top management institute, Gradsquare came as a saviour. Getting enrolled in Gradsquare was one of the best decisions I took.
