  • Entrance test: A valid SNAP score (Symbiosis National Aptitude Test) is required — the only accepted exam.

  • Note: Unlike SIOM's MBA (Operations Management), which requires a B.E./B.Tech, the Agri-Operations MBA is open to any graduate.

Fees

The MBA (Agri-Operations Management) fee is around ₹10.20 lakh for the two-year residential programme, inclusive of academics, mess and accommodation. Confirm the current figure from the official prospectus.

SIOM MBA Agri Operations Management Selection Criteria 2026

SIOM MBA Agri Operations Management admission is SNAP-based and runs on these stages:

  • Stage 1 — SNAP shortlisting: A valid SNAP percentile is the entry filter; candidates register for SNAP and choose SIOM in the same form.
  • Stage 2 — Group Exercise (GE) & Written Ability Test (WAT): Assesses reasoning, teamwork and communication.
  • Stage 3 — Personal Interview: Final assessment of fit, clarity of goals and aptitude for operations.

What tips the balance

SNAP is the primary filter, but the final merit list combines the SNAP score with GE, WAT and PI performance. SIOM looks for confident communicators with a clear drive toward operations and supply-chain specialisation, plus teamwork and leadership qualities.

Figures are specific to the MBA (Agri-Operations) programme. Note: SIOM's higher headline numbers (₹21.60 LPA highest, ₹13.90 LPA average in 2025) belong to the separate MBA (Operations Management) batch, not Agri-Operations. Hiring sectors span FMCG (F&V), agri-tech, agro-chemicals and agri-inputs.

Recruiters & sectors

Agri-Operations graduates are placed across FMCG (fruits & vegetables), agri-tech, agro-chemicals, agri-inputs, commodity trading and logistics roles — as supply chain, vendor management and sales & marketing professionals. The wider SIOM drive draws recruiters including Accenture, Genpact, KPMG, Aditya Birla, CEAT, Piramal, Capgemini and Wipro.

The Programme

A two-year, full-time, fully residential MBA in Agri Operations Management blending an operations and supply-chain core with agri-specific subjects: agro-commodity markets, processing and value chains in agriculture, agri supply-chain management, agro-procurement, warehouse management and quality management for agro products.

Project-based learning runs through every semester, with a strong industry-academia interface, a summer internship and Six Sigma exposure. SIOM has been recognised as an "SCM Institute of the Year" and ranks among India's top private B-schools across several 2025 surveys.

Career Avenues After the Programme

  • Agri supply chain & operations: Supply chain, procurement and warehouse roles across agro-based industries.
  • FMCG (F&V) & food processing: Category, distribution and vendor-management roles.
  • Agri-tech & e-commerce: Operations and logistics roles in agri platforms.
  • Agri-inputs & agro-chemicals: Sales, marketing and channel roles.
  • Commodity trading & EXIM: Trading, sourcing and export-import logistics roles.

Is SIOM Agri-Operations Right for You?

SIOM suits candidates who want a niche operations and supply-chain MBA focused on the agri and food sector, with the Symbiosis brand and a strong SCM reputation behind it. If you want a broad generalist MBA, a general B-school may fit better; if agri supply chain, agri-tech, food processing or commodity operations is your target, SIOM offers focused training and a growing placement record. Note that Agri-Operations packages currently sit below the flagship Operations MBA.
